Campsite assistants

Reports to: Site Manager
Salary: £15 per hour
Start Date: Around 21st April 2025 – mid-October 2025 (negotiable)

The role

We’re looking for some hands-on, proactive, and reliable folks to help keep Cherry Tree Farm running smoothly throughout the season. You’ll be at the heart of the campsite, keeping facilities spotless, supporting guests, and making sure everything behind the scenes is running as it should.

This is a front-facing role with a mix of independent work and team collaboration. The right person will be practical, take pride in maintaining high standards, and be happy rolling up their sleeves to get stuck in - and you can surf, swim and take in the beauty of Croyde in your downtime.

What you’ll be doing

  • Keeping things running: Daily upkeep of the campsite, including bin collections, sorting recycling, light grounds maintenance, and general site checks.

  • Ensuring spotless facilities: Regular deep cleaning of toilet and shower blocks, sweeping and mopping floors, checking stock levels, and keeping everything fresh.

  • Managing bell tent changeovers: Linen changes, sanitising all touchpoints, and coordinating with the laundry service.

  • Helping guests: Working at reception to assist with check-ins and check-outs, answering questions, providing directions, and handling payments.

  • Being part of the team: Supporting emergency procedures and covering overnight on-call duties when required.

  • Keeping things in order: Promoting and enforcing campsite rules to make sure all guests have the best possible experience.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

  • Physically able to perform manual handling tasks.

  • Great communication skills - you’ll be a friendly, approachable point of contact for campers.

  • A full driver’s license (some driving required).

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive pay with holiday entitlement.

  • Option to live on-site if needed.

  • A season spent outdoors, by the sea in one of the best spots in North Devon

  • Some meals are provided on catering nights.

  • Free use of the campsite’s facilities, including the sauna and ice baths.

We’d love to hear from you! To apply, please send us a short cover letter sharing why you think you’d be a great fit, along with your CV.
