At Cherry Tree Farm, we're excited to share updates as we prepare for the 2025 season. Whether you're a returning guest or planning your first visit, come explore our dog-friendly campsite in Croyde, North Devon.
We are keeping what makes this place special while focusing on sustainable camping. As a local family, we understand the importance of preserving the peaceful atmosphere, sea views, and stunning sunsets you love, ensuring the campsite thrives for future generations.
What’s new for 2025?
Here’s a snapshot of what’s coming to Cherry Tree Farm this season:
Dog-friendly stays
For the first time, well-behaved dogs (up to two per pitch) are welcome on-site! We know how important it is to travel with your four-legged friends, so we’ve created clear rules to ensure everyone has a great stay.
Dogs must be kept on a lead around the campsite.
Looking for a dog-free space? Strawberry Field is exclusively pet-free, perfect for those who prefer a calmer environment.
Plan ahead: While Croyde Beach doesn’t allow dogs during summer, nearby Putsborough and Saunton Sands beaches are dog-friendly all year round.
Commitment to sustainability
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. This year, we’re proud to introduce:
Tree planting: Over 1,000 native British trees planted, including oak, holly, and rowan, helping create new habitats and enhance biodiversity.
Wildlife protection: Designated wild spaces and additional wildlife corridors along our historic Devon hedgerows. Keep an eye out for barn owls, kestrels, and the rare greater horseshoe bat, all thriving here.
Wetland conservation: Revitalised wetland areas support a wide variety of species, from insects to hares.
Improved waste management
As a sustainable campsite in North Devon, we’re taking waste seriously. With enhanced recycling facilities and the installation of a commercial food composter, we’re working to reduce our environmental footprint. The composter allows food waste to be processed on-site and returned to the land, enriching the soil and absorbing carbon from the air.
